The story follows Jake, a disillusioned college dropout who lost everything after a failed business venture. With no options left, he returns to his family’s secluded home on the outskirts of town. What should be familiar quickly becomes disturbing. The house feels wrong, eerie events escalate, and the family he remembers no longer behaves the same. As Jake searches for answers, he is drawn into the orbit of Rose, whose influence appears tightly bound to the house’s secrets. While Jake remains the viewpoint character, Rose’s actions and shifting personality drive much of the narrative.
